The Lawyer Workplace and Diversity Awards (formerly The
Lawyer HR Awards) reflect the fact that talent issues have
become integral to strategic thinking at the highest level
of law firm management. It is the only event that
investigates and celebrates organisational culture in the
legal sector.

The judging has now taken place and the shortlist is available to
view here.

As the change of name suggests, we’ve broadened the Awards to
take account of all constituencies involved in employee engagement,
whether it be a managing partner who sets the tone and the agenda,
or the teams that carry out the vision. The categories include diversity,
recruitment, training, internal communication, retention, and corporate
responsibility. It also awards HR director and HR teams for their
specific contributions.

This year we have two new categories. The first, excellence in the
office environment focuses on design or use of lawyers’ physical
surroundings. The other new category is our Grand Prix award,
Employer of the Year, which will take into account thought leadership,
employee engagement and the practical expression of core values.

The Lawyer Workplace and Diversity Awards is the only event that
investigates and celebrates organisational culture in the legal sector.
Entries are welcome from law firms, barristers’ chambers and
in-house legal departments - whether private or public sector.

The Awards ceremony and dinner will take place on Tuesday 7th
February 2012 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. To book
your table, click here.

I look forward to seeing you there.
